How to Make a Good Decision

150 150 Shelly.Cantrell

In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.

 Theodore Roosevelt

Start by looking at every angle of the decision you need to make. Consider each element from the inside-out and outside-in. Capture your thoughts on paper. Then, imagine that you are getting into a helicopter and looking at your decision from a birds-eye view. What’s the big picture? How will this affect you five, ten, twenty years from now? After you have done this, sit quietly before God and simply listen. What do you sense He is guiding you to do? How will this affect your decision-making?

Remember: good choices require good eyes and good ears.
